All in all, it was one of the more satisfying non-platinum-related trophies I've gotten.Īnyone attempting this in a similar fashion I'd strongly recommend respecing your points to get the double turret as well as the skill that gets you the extra gun on your turret plus the slag (basically maxing out two trees). One of my biggest concerns was that the game would crash, though…there's some serious frame rate slowdown during this sequence. I actually peeled some potatoes for dinner during the stretches where my turrets were blasting away and the cooldown had to take affect. Probably half of that time was me just using the turrets after my ammo ran out…even with a 30% Cooldown relic and another Cooldown boost on my other mod it was time consuming, but it worked. This boss, which is available in the Borderlands 2 DLC Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is tough.
I normally don't spend as much time to get one trophy that doesn't count towards a platinum as this one, but it was a gold and I had put a lot of time into the rare monsters quest, so I decided to persist and my patience was rewarded after about an hour and a half. That's also a hit or miss affair, as sometimes when you throw the turrets the boss will wipe them out almost immediately. Once my ammo was all used up I went to just my turrets, which you need to throw on the highest section of the underground area, so that when they're deployed the top of the turret(s) is actually above ground.
